Jim Urbanski, Au.D., CCC-A is a TeleHear Provider for Starkey HearCare. He joined Starkey HearCare in May of 2017 in a retail office in Waterloo, IA. He received his bachelor’s degree in communication disorders and sciences from the State University of New York at Fredonia. He completed his Clinical Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D) at the University of Akron in May of 2017. He completed his clinical externship training at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
He is a member of the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA), and holds professional licensure in several states with a goal to be licensed in all 50.
Jim’s professional interests include hearing aid amplification, tinnitus evaluation/management, custom hearing protection solutions, single-sided deafness solutions and aural rehabilitation. He also has experience with fitting of Osseo integrated bone anchored devices, cochlear implants, electrophysiologic evaluation, and vestibular assessment.
In his spare time Jim can be found either on the golf course, playing his guitar, or walking his dogs with his wife, Dana.
